Mandrels

Push fit mandrels made on the pole lathe from Ash.
Tenon sizes are 25mm on the bigger one (for bowls) and 20mm on the small (for cups) but happy to make you to your own specifications if you have any special requests.
I recommend drilling a hole in a bit of scrap wood with your drill bit and see how the tenon fits, before hammering it in a prepared blank.
Over time the fit will become a bit loose as the fibres of the tenon compresses , an easy way around it is to dip them in water for a couple of minutes so they swell up again for a nice fit.
